Men's Track and Field Finishes Competition at the Wake Forest Open

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's track and field team finished competition at the Wake Forest Open on Saturday, Mar. 24.    "We faced some outstanding competition at this meet," Head Coach Jeff Jacobs said. "I am proud of the team, each week we continue to get better and facing great competition will hopefully better prepare us for the championship meets at the end of the season."     Aubrey Lemon (Goose, Creek, S.C./Stratford) sprinted season best times in both the 100 and 200 meters finishing in 10.82 and 21.85, respectively.   In the 400 meters, Tyrone Murphy (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) recorded a personal best time of 48.82 and finished in 17th place.   Tommy Sugishita (Arroyo Grande, Calif./Arroyo Grande (Moorepark JC)) threw the hammer 178-6 for an 11th place finish.   The men’s track and field squad will be back in action on Mar. 30-31 in Rock Hill, S.C. to compete in the Winthrop Invitational.   Click on the "Box Score" Link for complete meet results...
