Men's Track and Field Finished Day One of CCU Invitational

Conway S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's track and field team finished day one of the CCU Invitational meet. The Chanticleer men are off to a great start with four top ten finishers in three events.

The top Coastal finisher in the javelin was Kyle Hoddy (Griswold, Conn./Griswold) who took home a second place finish with a throw of 193.90 feet. The first place throw came from Nate Hardic of Slippery Rock throwing it 204.66 feet.

CCU had two men finish in the top ten in the hammer throw. Tommy Sugishita (Arroyo Grande, Calif./Arroyo Grande (Moorepark JC)) finished in fifth with a fling of 171.29 feet. Jacob Edelman (Dryden, N.Y./Dryden) threw the hammer 160.37 feet for a eighth place finish. The top finisher in the hammer throw was John Hart of Liberty with a throw of 201.51 feet.

Ryan Caputo (Clarks Summit, Pa./Albington Heights) finished the 3,000 meters in 9:23.2 for a seventh place finish.

Complete meet results will be available at the conclusion of the meet on Saturday, Mar. 10.
