GREENSBORO, N.C.-Coastal Carolina University men’s track and field had three individuals compete on the second day of the East NCAA Preliminary Round at Irwin Bell Track at North Carolina A&T on Friday, May 28.

 

Jason Flanagan just missed qualifying for the next round by two feet as he took 18th place in the javelin with a throw of 212’2” (64.67 meters). Jacques Watson participated in the high jump as he cleared 6’9” (2.06 meters), placing 30th in the event. Jack Hutchison, the lone individual competitor in the track events for the Chanticleers, ran 14.35 in the 110-meter hurdles, placing 32nd to finish out his career.

 

The Chanticleers will have one last hope with 4x100-meter relay team of Chris Lawson, Ryan Edlich, Corey Jameson and Lenny Steed to make the NCAA Final Round, tomorrow, Saturday, May 29 at 6 p.m.
