TROY, Ala. - Coastal Carolina University men's track and field took just three throwers to the Coach O Invitational in Troy, Ala., at the Jesse H. Colley Track on Saturday, April 24, but made their mark by winning the two events and setting facility records.

 

Jason Flanagan began the day by winning the javelin with a throw of 217'1" (66.16 meters), setting a new facility record. Chris Tillotson also had a good showing by taking ninth in the event with a throw of 179'9" (54.79 meters).

 

Jason Jensen was the other event winner of the day in the hammer throw as he tossed a personal-best and facility record of 198'1" (60.39 meters). Jensen also came in third place in the shot put as he threw 47'3" (14.40 meters), just short of his personal-best.

 

Five Chanticleers will compete tomorrow, April 25 at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, N.C.
