Men's Track and Field Competes in Weems Baskin Relays

COLUMBIA, S.C.-The Coastal Carolina University men's track and field team participated in the Weems Baskin Relays on Saturday, March 27 hosted by University of South Carolina.
The Chanticleers highlighted the day in the running events as Kyle Kling won the 1500 meter for the second consecutive week with a season-best time of 3:58.07. Jamie McCarthy ran a season-best 1:56.34, winning the 800 meter.
In the 200-meter dash, Alex Levy and St. Bernard took eighth and ninth place, respectively. Levy ran a personal-best 21.86, with St. Bernard following with a season-best 21.87. Jameson also had a season-best performance in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.85 and taking 10th in the event.
In the field events, Chris Tillotson threw a personal-best 179'5" (54.70 meters) in the javelin, taking second in the event. Jason Jensen also threw for personal-best for seventh place 193'11" (59.12 meters) in the hammer throw.
The Chanticleers will partake in the Pepsi Florida Relays and the Duke Asics Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3.
