2012 Big South Outdoor Championships Day 1 (April 19)
High School: State champion in the shot put during senior year... Threw a personal best mark of 54'4" (16.56 meters) in the shot put during senior year... Won the North Carolina Indoor State Championship in the shotput during senior season...Competed in the 2009 USATF Nationals placing second in the shotput, third in the hammer and fifth in the discus... Participated in the 2009 NC USATF Junior Olympic State Championships and was an Intermediate Boys State Champion in the shotput with a throw of 53'00" (16.15 meters), the discus with a 155"03" (47.32) and the hammer with a 166'08" (50.80 meters)... Named the 2009 Field Events MVP for 2A Waccamaw Conference and for South Brunswick High School... Set tthe record for the intermediate boys discus throw at the State Games of N.C. with a mark of 142'.05" (43.28 meters).
