Coastal Puts 27 on Big South Outdoor Track & Field All-Decade Teams

First men's outdoor track & field All-American in school history... Owns school and conference records in the pole vault...

2005: Earned All-American honors with eighth-place finish in the pole vault at 2005 NCAA National Championships... Earned All-East Region honors with fifth-place finish... Became the first-ever athlete to win a gold medal at the Penn Relays with a winning pole vault of 17'1"... Captured his third consecutive Big South Championship... Named Team Co-MVP for 2005 season... Won eight individual pole vault titles on the year... Set school and conference record of 17'5" (5.31 m) at the Chanticleer Classic...

2003-04: Qualified for the NCAA National Championships as the NCAA East Regional pole vault champion... Broke the Regional meet record with a leap of 17.3" (5.26m), also setting new school and conference records... Big South Conference pole vaulting champion...

2002-03: Competed at the NCAA East Regional in pole vault... Helped the Chants to their first Big South Outdoor title, clearing 16' (4.88m) to win the pole vault... Set a school record of 16'6.75" (5.05m) at the Georgia Tech Invitational... Won the pole vault competition at the S.C. State meet, qualifying for the NCAA regional and helping his team to the title... Won both the CCU Opener and the Coastal Classic... Placed third at the Penn Relays, clearing 15'7" (4.75m)...

High School: Competed at the 2002 U.S. Junior National Championships in Palo Alto, finishing ninth... Invited to U.S. Olympic Training Camp... Was a high school All-American in the pole vault, as well as a three-time State Champion...
