CONWAY, SC — For the second consecutive season, Coastal Carolina University landed both its men’s and women’s tennis teams on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) All-Academic Team list, which consists of squads whose cumulative team grade point average is 3.20 or higher. Coastal was one of only 16 schools to place teams on both the men’s and women’s lists. Four players from both the men’s and women’s teams also earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors.

On the men’s side, seniors Arnaud Caffin, Jean-Philip Cloutier, Nathan Forester, and Oscar Gomez all made the ITA Scholar Athlete list, consisting of student athletes with a grade point average of at least 3.50.

Caffin, who led the Chanticleers last season with a singles record of 12-4, was also named to the All-Big South team for the fourth consecutive season and earned Big South All-Academic honors for the second time. He was also named BSC Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Cloutier played to a 7-8 singles and 4-5 doubles mark in 2003, and Forester earned a 6-6 doubles record. Gomez went 5-10 in both singles and doubles play.
