CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Coastal Carolina University men's tennis senior Dmitry Vlaskin has been named the Big South Choice Hotels Men’s Tennis Players of the Week, announced today, March 9 by the League office.

The Moscow, Russia native had a strong week in No. 3 singles action last week against Boston College and Big South foe Liberty. He won his first singles match of the week by defeating Erik Kruetzer from Boston College in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Vlaskin also had an impressive performance against Liberty as he downed Giancarlo Lemmi, 6-3, 6-3. Vlaskin helped the Chanticleers take a 6-1 victory over the Flames, improving to 3-0 in the league.

Vlaskin and company will take on No. 42 Penn State today, March 9, at 3 p.m., at the Billy Nichols Tennis Courts.
