Kusuda Named Big South Player of the Week

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina junior Yusuke Kusuda has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 27-March 4, announced today by the League office.

Kusuda posted wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles in the Chanticleers' 5-2 win over Conference foe Campbell last week. He paired up with Matias Di Pasquale to top Josep Baro and Adrien Rossignon, 9-8, before earning the win against David Clavera, 6-0, 6-3. Kusuda moves to 7-0 this season at the No. 3 singles position.

Coastal (7-1, 2-0 BSC) play host to UNC Greensboro today (March 6) at 2 p.m. and Temple on Thursday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. The Chants also host James Madison at noon on Saturday, March 10.
