Men's Tennis Falls to The Citadel 6-1

CONWAY, S .C.– The Coastal Carolina University men’s tennis team (1-2) fell to The Citadel 6-1 Feb. 19, at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center. The Bulldogs won five of six singles matches in the win.

Freshman Simon Taylor (Hampshire, England) earned the Chants victory, defeating Rob Haynie 6-4, 7-5. All other singes matches were won by the Bulldogs in straight sets.

In the doubles, The Citadel picked up all three matches, with sophomore Florentin Meynie (Nanterre, France) and Taylor falling 8-6 to Warren Woolfolk and David Lara at number one doubles.

Coastal heads to Wilmington, N.C., to face the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Wed. Feb. 25, at 2 p.m.
