CARY, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team was eliminated from the ITA Carolina Regional on Sunday as its remaining participants, Luiz Faria and Paul Boulay, were defeated in their respective matches.

Faria was denied a berth in the quarterfinals of the main singles draw, falling in straight sets to Henry Patten on UNC Asheville. Faria had previously defeated opponents from Presbyterian, North Carolina and Wake Forest to reach the draw's fourth round.

In the consolation singles draw, East Carolina's Kasey Countee advanced past Boulay.

The ITA Carolina Regional marked the end of Coastal's fall competition. The Chanticleers will officially close the season with an intrasquad scrimmage at the Stevens Tennis Complex on Oct. 19.
