CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team broke a two-match losing streak with a 4-3 win over Presbyterian College on Sunday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center.

"Presbyterian is a very tough team," said head coach Chris Powers. "I tip my hat to their effort today. The doubles point proved to be very important in a highly competitive conference match."

Coastal (11-3, 3-1) opened the match by taking two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Matias Di Pasquale won the first singles point for the Chants with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Zachary Sprouse. The Blue Hose (11-11, 1-3) answered back with back-to-back singles wins to tie the match at two apiece.

Sam Barr and Garik Yedigarian won the next two singles matches to clinch the fourth point for the Chanticleers. Gonzalo Asis earned the third and final point for Presbyterian from the sixth spot.

Coastal travels to Rock Hill, S.C., to face Winthrop on Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m.
