CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team swept Mount Olive 7-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center.

Coastal (3-1) won all of the singles matches in straight sets and also won the doubles point to win its home opener.

"I thought we did some good things on the doubles court today," said head coach Chris Powers. "I am looking forward to building on this match going into the weekend. It should be some quality tennis in the next couple of weeks."

Last week's Big South Player of the Week Danny Heidecker won his singles match at the No. 1 position 6-1, 6-1 followed by No. 3 singles player Yusuke Kusuda winning his match 6-2, 6-1. Leading 3-0 after securing the point in the doubles match, Matias Di Pasquale defeated Murilo Pelegrino 6-1, 6-0 to win the match.

Leo Christofides, Mo Hookaylo and Garik Yedigarian won the remaining matches for the 7-0 victory.

Coastal remains at home for two matches this week as it plays host to Longwood on Friday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. match on Sunday against Richmond.
