Coastal plays its first match of the 2013 Big South tournament at 8 a.m. Thursday morning against UNC Asheville.
Spring 2013 (Sophomore): Was voted to the all-conference singles team by the Big South's head coaches for the first time in his career after finishing with a team-best 15-5 singles record ... Was named the No. 3 singles flight winner by the Big South, going 13-4 and winning eight straight matches from March 3-29 ... Was undefeated in regular season conference play, winning all eight matches against Big South opponents ... Claimed a singles victory against Radford in the Big South tournament, and won the match-clinching point against Presbyterian College in the Big South championship match ... Posted a 10-8 (5-3 Big South) doubles record with partner Matias Di Pasquale, finishing 7-6 at No. 1 and 3-2 at No. 2
Fall 2012 (Sophomore): Recorded a doubles victory with partner Garik Yedigarian in the Big Teal vs. Big Orange match against Campbell ... Advanced to the semifinal of the B1 singles flight and B1 doubles flight at the Elon Invitational ... Recorded two singles and a doubles victory at the Virginia Fall Classic ... Defeated NC Central's Fabrice George at the ITA Regional.
Spring 2012 (Freshman): In his first season at Coastal, Yedigarian led the Chanticleers with a 16-3 singles record playing in the No. 3 (1-0), No. 4 (5-0), No. 5 (8-3) and No. 6 (2-0) flights... Ranked No. 167 by ITA tennis after opening the spring season winning 10-of-11 matches... He is the first singles player in Coastal Carolina history to earn a national ranking... Held a 6-1 singles conference record and won a pair of matches in the Big South Conference Championship... Went 8-10 in doubles play with partners Matias Di Pasquale (1-2) and Danny Heidecker (7-8)... Earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors (Feb. 21).
