Men's Tennis 2013 Durham Regional
Spring 2013 (Senior): Was voted to the all-conference singles team by the Big South's head coaches for the third consecutive year after posting a 10-8 singles record ... Earned a spot on the Big South All-Academic team for the second time in his career ... Split time between Nos. 1 and 2 singles, finishing 4-7 on the first court and 6-1 on the second ... Won six straight matches against Big South opponents from March 21 through April 7 ... Took the match-deciding point for Coastal in a 4-3 win over Presbyterian ... Alongside doubles partner Ted Nilsson, was named the No. 3 doubles flight winner in the Big South ... Went 13-1 at No. 3 doubles, and 14-6 overall for the season ... Ended the season by winning eight consecutive doubles matches (the last match agaisnt Duke went unfinished).
Fall 2012 (Senior): Recorded a singles victory over Campbell's Rossignon in the Big Teal vs. Big Orange match ... Won a single and doubles match at the Elon Invitational ... Took third place in the Gold Singles flight at the University of Virginia Fall Classic.
Spring 2012 (Junior): Opened the year by winning 11 straight singles matches... Compiled a 13-6 overall record from the No. 2 (1-1), No. 3 (11-4) and No. 4 (1-1) flight... Earned one of Coastal's two points against Kosta Blank (7-6 (7-5), 6-1) of #43 UNC Wilmington... Beat a nationally ranked Thiago Pinheiro (#117) 0-6, 7-6, 10-6, in the Chants match against then 48th ranked South Carolina... Posted a 4-3 singles record in the Big South... Played at the No. 1 doubles position with Matias Di Pasquale, holding an 8-8 record and a 3-3 Big South mark... Finished the spring season with a 9-10 doubles record playing in all three flights... Named Big South Player of the Week on March 6 and also earned his second singles all-conference award.
Fall 2011 (Junior): Held a 2-1 record at the UNCW Fall Invitational... Went 1-1 during the Elon Fall Invitational... Lost to national ranked Torsten Wietoska of Duke in the 2011 USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships.
Spring 2011 (Sophomore): Went undefeated from the No. 3 spot with a 10-0 record in singles play... He was deemed Big South Conference flight winner at the No. 2 singles position after posting a 4-1 record... Went 4-2 in singles play in the Big South... Playing in 17 doubles matches he posted a 10-6 record from the third slot including three straight conference wins to end the regular season to give him a 5-1 BSC mark... Kusuda was also named to the Big South All-Academic Team after earning a 3.91 GPA majoring in Finance.
Fall 2010 (Sophomore): Went 1-1 in singles against Francis Marion in the first match of the fall season (Sept. 11) ... Reached the round of 32 in doubles at the ITA Carolinas Regional (Oct. 14) ... Won his first singles match at the ITA Carolinas Regional (Oct. 15).
2009-10 (Freshman): Played the season at Savannah College of Arts and Design and posted a 5-4 singles record.
