Men's Tennis 2013 Durham Regional

Matias Di Pasquale, who played for Coastal from 2011-13, continued his relationship with the Chanticleer men's tennis program as a volunteer assistant beginning in August of 2013. Di Pasquale was then hired as an assistant coach for the Chanticleers in the Spring of 2014.

Spring 2013 (Senior): Ended the season with the Chants' second best singles record, going 13-7 overall and 6-2 in conference play ... Played primarily at No. 5 singles,posting a 9-4 record ... Additionally, went 4-3 at No. 4 and was named the No. 4 singles flight winner in the Big South for the second consecutive year ... Ended the season on a six-match win streak, including singles wins against UNC Asheville, Radford and Presbyterian in the Big South tournament ... Posted a 10-8 (5-3 Big South) doubles record with partner Garik Yedigarian, finishing 7-6 at No. 1 and 3-2 at No. 2.

Fall 2012 (Senior): Recorded a singles and doubles victory in the Big Teal vs. Big Orange match against Campbell ... Reached the semifinal of the A1 singles flight and B1 doubles flight at the Elon Invitational ... Won a doubles match with partner Garik Yedigarian at the University of Virginia Fall Classic ... Defeated Appalachian State's Carson Greve in the first round of the ITA Regional.

Spring 2012 (Junior): Put together a 12-5 overall singles record including a 6-1 mark en route to being named the Big South No. 4 singles flight winner... He held an 8-2 record from the fourth flight while finishing 1-2 from position three and 3-1 from No. 5... Played the majority of his doubles matches with Yusuke Kusuda (8-8), which included six straight wins from the No. 1 flight... Along with Garik Yedigarian, he went 1-2 in doubles action winning their only match from the No. 1 flight while going 0-2 in the second position.

Fall 2011 (Junior): Went 1-2 during the UNCW Fall Invitational (9/17)... Lost his lone singles match in the Elon Invitaional... Advanced to the round of 64 in the ITA Carolina Regional but was defeated by Fred Saba of the nationally ranked Duke Blue Devils... Held a 1-2 doubles record, winning in the consolation bracket of the Elon Invite with Yusuke Kusuda.
