2011 NSCAA Men's Collegiate Scholar All-American Team

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina senior Cyprian Hedrick is one 11 players named to the 2011 NSCAA Men's Collegiate Scholar All-American first team. A sports management major, Hedrick had a GPA of 3.40.

Hedrick was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being named to First Team All-Big South. He was tabbed to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week as Coastal defeated then 16th-ranked Virginia Commonwealth and George Washington. The Friendswood, Texas, native helped the Chanticleer defense hold opponents to only 0.90 goals per game and a 9.7% shot percentage.

The 68 honorees will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in the Kansas City Convention Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Jan. 14, in conjunction with the 2012 NSCAA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
