Conway - The United Soccer Coaches (USC) has released its 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s All-Southeast Region Team and a couple of familiar Coastal Carolina names are mentioned.

Forward Frantzdy Pierrot has been named to the First Team. The reigning Sun Belt Player of the Year helped lead the Chanticleers to the Sun Belt regular-season and Tournament Championship and the Chants made a run to the third round of the NCAA Championship.

Pierrot finished the season leading CCU with 24 points on 10 goals and four assists. Both were team-highs. He also led CCU with four match-winning goals.

Pierrot’s teammate Louis Dargent was named to the Second Team. Dargent missed several matches as the season opened, but when he came back the Chants season took off.

With Dargent in the starting lineup at a midfield position, the Chants went 10-1-1 with the lone loss coming to third-ranked Stanford in the NCAA Championship third round.
