Men's Soccer'sChisoni and Khumalo Selected to NSCAA/adidas First Team All-South Atlantic Region

Coastal Carolina men’s soccer senior midfielder Mubarike Chisoni (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe-Chegutu (Lindsey Wilson)) and forward Boyzzz Khumalo (Soweto, South Africa-Bethlehem (Lindsey Wilson)) were both selected to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas First Team All-South Atlantic Region.

Chisioni had a terrific season, tying for the team lead with 16 goals to go along with six assists.The 16 goals are the eighth highest single season total in Chanticleer history. His 38 points this season place him tenth nationally in total points. Chisioni was a All-Big South selection, while earning a spot on the Big South’s All-Tournament team and an invitation to participate in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Scouting Combine.

Khumalo is coming off a season in which he is third nationally in assists with 16 to go along with eight goals. The 16 assists is the third highest single season total in Coastal men’s soccer history. Khumalo was also an All-Big South selection, as well as being selected as the Most Valuable Player of the Big South’s All-Tournament Team. And recently he garnered an invitation to participate in MLS Scouting Combine.

This is the second consecutive season both Chisoni and Khumalo have been selected to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Team. Khumalo and Chisoni were a First Team and a Second Team All-South Atlantic selection, respectively, last season.

Seven members of the Big South Conference were selected on one of the three teams, with Coastal being the only Big South school to register two players on the First-Team.
