CONWAY - Coastal Carolina's Ricky Garbanzo was named to the National Team of the Week for the week ending Nov. 11. In addition, the Rock Hill, S.C., native has also been named the Big South Player of the Week, the publications announced on Tuesday.

Garbanzo led the Chanticleers to a pair of wins last week with two goals each against Campbell and Longwood. The multi-goal games were the junior's second and third of the season. His four goals on the week increased his season count to a team-high 11, which is also tied for second-best in the Big South Conference. Moreover, of Garbanzo's 11 goals this season, six have been game-winners.

The 5-foot-7 forward notched the eventual game-winning goal in the 36th minute and scored again in the 81st on a spectacular direct kick to steer Coastal to a 5-2 victory against Campbell. Three days later he opened the scoring with a 39th minutes strike at Longwood. He went on to score again in the 84th minute as the Chants dispatched Longwood 4-0.
