Men's Soccer and College of Charleston Battle to a 0-0 Tie

MT PLEASANT, SC — The College of Charleston and 13th-ranked Coastal Carolina battled to a 0-0 tie, snapping the Chanticleers' 15-match winning streak, in final day action in the Carolina Youth Development Center Men's Soccer Classic at Patriots Point Field on Sunday.

The shutout for the Chants was the fifth straight and eighth overall this season. Coastal has not given up a goal since the second half of the UNC Asheville match on October 12. (499 minutes of play)

CCU goalkeeper Aaron Sanders recorded seven saves, in recording his fourth shutout of the season, while Cougar keeper Keith Wiggins stopped six shots.

Coastal (15-0-2) will next face Winthrop, in a key Big South match, on Wednesday evening in Rock Hill, S.C. The match will determine the regular season title in the Big South Conference.
