Men's Soccer Treated to 2-1 Halloween Night Victory Over Clemson
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team downed Clemson 2-1 in a Halloween night match up here at Riggs Field, Oct. 31. Senior Kheli Dube (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe/Pumula (Lindsey Wilson)) registered a goal and an assist and junior Djamel Bekka (Tulsa, Okla./Union) netted the game-winner in the 61st minute. The victory over Clemson is just the second in program history.

Dube connected on his ninth goal of the season in the 11th minute with assists from senior Kevin Van Den Berg (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) and freshman Ross Kelly (Sugar Land, Texas/Clements) to give CCU an early 1-0 advantage. The Tigers evened it up after Tate Parrish connected from Bryson Moore in the 40th minute. The game remained knotted until Bekka’s game-winner in the 61st minute from Van Den Berg and Dube.
Senior Aaron Weant (Morrisville, N.C./Green Hope) recorded eight saves for CCU, while Joseph Bandik turned away five for Clemson.
