LYNCHBURG, VA.-- The Coastal Carolina University men’s soccer team won a hard fought overtime thriller against the Liberty Flames, 2-1 Saturday, Oct. 4 at Liberty Soccer Field.

Coastal Carolina nearly found its second tally of the contest in the 59th minute off an Oron Levy (Yessod-Hamala, Israel/Hamak-Hamala) corner kick that freshman Hunter Thames (Frederick, Md./Urbana) fired on net, but a pair of Liberty defenders were right on the goal line to register the team save for the Flames.
the first overtime, Coastal Carolina found gold. Kelly struck again, this time picking up a loose ball in the midfield, and beat his defender from 20 yards out for the "Golden Goal" and the Chanticleers' their 12th consecutive regular season Big South win, dating back to a 5-2 loss at Radford, Oct. 7, 2006.
