Former Coastal Carolina men’s soccer player and current Carolina RailHawk Joseph Kabwe garnered honors as the United Soccer League (USL) First Division Player of the Week announced recently by the league.

Kabwe earned the nomination after a three-goal, one assist outburst in Carolina’s 9-0 defeat of Miami FC at WakeMed Soccer Park on Wednesday, August 26.

In the two-season career with the Chanticleers (2004-05), Kawbe garnered honors in 2005 as NSCAA Scholastic All-American, NSCAA All-Region performer, All-Big South Second Team, and Big South Tournament MVP.
