Men’s Soccer to Play Exhibition Game this Weekend Against Georgia State

CONWAY, S.C.- Coastal Carolina’s men’s soccer team and head coach Shaun Docking play its first exhibition game this weekend as it travels to Atlanta, Ga. to take on Georgia State on Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m. at Silverbacks Park.

The Chanticleers (14-8-1, 4-3 Big South in 2004) are coming off a season in which they made their fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament and won the Big South Tournament for the second consecutive season.

The Chants return 14 players, including senior Jordie Hughes (Victoria, British Columbia/Spectrum) from last years team as they look to make their seventh career NCAA appearance.

Coastal’s men’s soccer team will next be in action Saturday, August 27 as it travels to Columbia, S.C., to take on South Carolina in the last exhibtion game before the start of the regular season.
