Conway - Coastal Carolina’s men’s soccer team will get their first taste of the 2017 season when they travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., to face the fourth-ranked Tar Heels in an exhibition match. With the Chanticleers entering the season ranked 19th, the Sunday (Aug. 13) evening match that begins at 7 p.m. will be a strong preseason test for both nationally-ranked programs.

The early-season matchup is the first of three exhibition matches the Chanticleers will play before beginning the regular season. CCU will also play at fifth-ranked Clemson Aug. 15 in their second exhibition match.

CCU fans will then get an early look at the Chants when they host Marshall in their final exhibition match Saturday, Aug. 19. The regular season will begin Friday Aug. 25 as CCU will travel to Fairfax, Va., to face George Mason.

The Chanticleers will host UNC Greensboro in their first regular season home match of the season Friday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
