CONWAY - Coastal Carolina men's soccer opens its spring season home slate on Tuesday, March 26 as hosts to the Charleston Battery of the USL-Pro division. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. at the CCU Soccer Field.

The Chanticleers, who advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 last fall, are 0-2 on the spring season with both losses coming to professional clubs. Coastal kicked off its spring season on Feb. 17 in Charleston against the MLS's Chicago Fire. The Chants fell to the Fire's reserve squad by a 4-2 count with Jakub Stourac and Ricky Garbanzo finding the back of the net for the Chants. Coastal then played the Battery on their home turf, Blackbaud Stadium, on March 7, suffering a 2-1 setback. Mid-year transfer Simon Laugsand provided Coastal's goal off an assist by Justin Portillo.

Coastal concludes its spring schedule on April 3; hosting the Wilmington Hammerheads, also of the USL-Pro division, at the CCU Soccer Field at 7 p.m. Coastal defeated the Hammerheads 3-1 in a spring friendly in 2012.

The men's and women's soccer programs will welcome their alumni back to campus on Saturday, April 13 for the annual alumni matches.
