Conway - Coastal Carolina University’s Frantzdy Pierrot has been named to the 2017 Haitian National Men’s Soccer Team, announced by Dr. Yves Jean-Bart, President of the de la FHF.

Pierrot will be playing in the Gold Cup Playoff against Nicaragua in two matches. The first match will be played March 24 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and again March 28 in Managua, Nicaragua.

The rising senior was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference team last season after leading the Chanticleers in points with 21, goals (8), shots (61), shots on goal (37), shots on goal percentage (61%) and game-winning goals (5).

Pierrot helped lead a Chanticleers athletic program to Coastal Carolina’s first conference title as a member of the Sun Belt last fall as CCU won the Sun Belt title. The Chants then followed that up with a first-round win in the NCAA Tournament before falling at second-ranked Wake Forest.
