CONWAY, S.C.- The Coastal Carolina University men’s soccer team released its 2009 spring schedule today, March 4, as announced by head coach Shaun Docking.
The schedule currently holds matchups with the Charleston Battery of the USL First Division March 25 at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston. On March 28, the 2008 USL Second Division Champion Wilmington Hammerheads will travel to Conway.
On April 4, the Chanticleers will take on the South Carolina Gamecocks at Coastal Carolina Soccer Field at 1 p.m.
The spring schedule will conclude on April 18 with the annual alumni game at 2 p.m.
Coastal Carolina ended the season with a 10-10-1 record, and a second-place finish in the Big South regular season standings. The Chants used a pair of 1-0 victories over Radford and UNC Asheville to advance to the championship match of the Big South Tournament, but lost a 4-3 heartbreaker to Winthrop in double-overtime.
