Men's Soccer's Louis Drafted by FC Dallas in the MLS Supplemental Draft

CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina's men's soccer team had its fourth player drafted by major league soccer in the last three years as senior forward/defender Peter Louis (Dallas, Texas/Lake Highlands) was drafted by FC Dallas in the fourth round (39th pick) of the MLS Supplemental Draft, it was announced today (Jan. 26).

Louis is coming off a season where he was a First Team All-Big South selection and a Second Team member of the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-South Region Team. For the year, Louis played in all 21 games for the Chanticleers while drawing the start in 17. He aided Coastal in reaching the NCAA Tournament in each of the last four seasons and tallied seven goals and six assists in his career.

Louis was the only member of the Big South Conference to be selected by the MLS in either the Super Draft and Supplemental Draft.

Last year, Boyzzz Khumalo and Mubarike Chisoni were drafted by the Chicago Fire and Los Angeles Galaxy respectively, and in 2004, Joseph Ngwenya was the third overall pick in the draft by the Galaxy.

This past season, Coastal Carolina men's soccer team (11-9, 5-2 Big South) won its third consecutive Big South Tournament title and made it to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive season and seventh season overall.
