Chants Move Into Sun Belt Men's Soccer Title Match
ATLANTA - The magical inaugural season for the Coastal Carolina University men's soccer team continues as the Chants knocked off Hartwick 2-0 to advance to the Sun Belt Championship.
It was two first half goals off the foot of Frantzdy Pierrot that stood up throughout the rest of the match for the win.
The first came in the 37th minute as Pierrot scored on an assist from Ryan Willoughby's first assist of the season. Pierrot's second goal came just seven minutes later in the 44th minute and this goal came courtesy of a Martin Melchor assist. The two goals gave Pierrot seven on the season while
Melchor's assist was his fifth. CCU only out shot Hartwick 12-11, but both teams had seven shots on goal. One of the reason's CCU was able to pick up the shutout was due to Braulio Linares-Ortiz' seven saves.
