Conway -
Frantzdy Pierrot made senior day a memorable one as he scored three goals in leading Coastal Carolina to a 4-0 victory over Appalachian State.

The victory sent a total of 14 seniors out on a winning note in the final regular season home match of their careers.

It was a match the Chanticleers were in control of from the opening whistle as the shots were 24-3 in favor of the home team. Yazeed Matthews got the scoring started with a goal in the eighth minute on an assist from Romario Piggott.

Piggott was not done distributing the ball as he picked up his second assist of the match in the 24th minute with Pierrot picking up his first goal of the match.

CCU went into the locker room with a 2-0 lead after out-shooting the Mountaineers 14-2 in the opening 45 minutes.

Even though the Chants continued to attack the ASU net, it took almost 18 minutes before Pierrot found the back of the net for his second goal, this one on an assist from Garrett Lillie.

Pierrot turned the hat trick just four minutes later scoring the final goal of the match off an assist from Ryan Willoughby.

Pierrot finished the match with five shots while Matthews, Carlos Becerra and Martin Melchor had three each.

The Chants had three shots go off the post as CCU could have scored several more goals. The Chants finished with 10 shots on goal while only allowing two.

Braulio Linares-Ortiz started in goal, making one save during his 66 minutes of action. Linares-Ortiz gave way in the goal to fellow senior Alexandre Bouillennec who also finished with a save as the two combined for the team's fifth shutout of the season.

The Chants will be on the road for its final two regular season games of the season, beginning with a Nov. 1 match at Howard.
