The Chanticleers opened scoring at 34:01 into the game when Cyprian Hedrick headed his first goal, coming from a Djamel Bekka corner kick to put the Chanticleers up 1-0. Despite being ahead on the scoreboard, the Matadors outshot the Chants 8-3, and three of Matadors shots were saved by Scott Angevine.

Eanes first goal of the season came from a dish from Matt Schroeder and Riley Phelps 10 yards out six minutes into the second half.
