Soderberg Places 4th at South Beach International Amateur

MIAMI - Coastal Carolina senior Sebastian Soderbergcarded a 72-hole total of 3-under par 280 to tie for fourth at the second annual South Beach International Amateur, played Dec. 18-31 at the Miami Beach Golf Club and Normandy Shores Golf Club.

Soderberg shot an opening round 3-under 68 and made the cut with a second round 2-under 68. The final two rounds were played at the par 71 Miami Beach Golf Club, where the Ojersjo, Sweden, native posted rounds of 70 and 74 to finish with his 280.

The 192-person field was cut to 72 players after two rounds. Arizona senior Juan Pablo Hernandez (Mexico City, Mexico) won the event with a 10-under 273 (65-71-69-68) to win by four strokes over Florida State freshman Hank Lebioda (Winter Springs, Fla.), who shot 277 (72-69-66-70).Florida junior Tommy Mou (Chinese Taipei) placed third with a total of 279 (66-70-70-73).
