CONWAY, S.C. -- Three-time All-American Dustin Johnson will compete in the final round of the PGA Tour Qualifying School, Nov. 28-Dec. 3 at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge's Crooked Cat course (Par 72 - 7,277 yards) in Winter Garden, Fla. The event is a six-round, 108-hole tournament with a cut after four rounds. The low 25 finishers and ties from the large field get their PGA Tour cards for 2008. The next 50 or so players will earn fully-exempt status on the Nationwide Tour. The remaining players will all be eligible for non-exempt 2008 Nationwide Tour membership.
Johnson tied for third in the second stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School, Nov. 14-17, shooting under-par in each of his four rounds of the Second Stage, firing scores of 69, 66, 70 and 68 for a four-round total of 15-under 273, one shot behind co-medalists Bubba Dickerson and Scott Parel. He won his Q-School First Stage event in Auburn, Ala., by eight shots, firing rounds of 65-71-69-70=275 (-13) at the Auburn University Club to best four players by the eight shots.
