CONWAY - Coastal Carolina sophomore Peter Valasek (Myjava, Slovakia) has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Men's Golfer of the Week, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Valasek had a 4-over 217 (76-70-71) at UCLA's Gifford Collegiate Championship, played at the par 71, 7,360 yard CordeValle Country Club. He tied for 16th-place and helped Coastal to a seventh-place finish in the event that featured eight teams ranked in the GolfStat Top 50 -- including four Top 20 teams.
