The sixth-seeded Chanticleers were in a tough fight with the 10th-seeded Sun Devils in the consolation semifinals, but could not get the lead after the first hole in three of the matches and were eliminated from the event. For the third consecutive match, senior Dustin Johnson (Myrtle Beach, S.C./Dutch Fork) and Zack Byrd (Calabash, N.C./Byrd Academy) earned victories and finished the competition with perfect 3-0 marks.

Upstart and 11th-seed Lamar, who defeated Coastal in the opening match, will take on No. 4 seed Oklahoma State for the tournament title tomorrow, Oct. 31.

Coastal will wrap up the team portion of the fall schedule Mon.-Tue., Nov. 6-7 at the Corde Valle Collegiate. The event, hosted by UCLA, will be played at the Corde Valle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif.
