WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The Coastal Carolina men's golf team sits in third place after two rounds of the Landfall Tradition, Oct. 29. The 54-hole tournament, hosted by UNC Wilmington, is being played by at Country Club of Landfalls Nicklaus Course in Wilmington, N.C.
The Chanticleers trailed first-round leader Tulsa by six entering the day. However, Texas A&M made the big move, shooting a second-round best 295 to post 589 for 36 holes and take the lead by two shots over Tulsa (591), three over Coastal (592) and four over Minnesota (593). VCU is sitting in fifth at 595.
Junior Dustin Johnson continued to move up the individual leaderboard, as he is tied for fourth at one-over 145, three shots behind Jerad Harklau of Texas A&M at 142. Senior Moises Cobo is tied for 10th at 147, while sophomore Joachim Fourquet is tied for 13th at 148.
The Chants' final round will begin at 8:15 a.m. on the 10th tee, as CCU will play with Ohio State and Michigan State in the final round.
