SOMIS, CALIF. -- The Coastal Carolina men's golf team is tied for third through two rounds of The Club Glove Intercollegiate, Oct. 3. The event, hosted by Pepperdine University, is being played at the Saticoy Country Club (Par 72 - 6,985 yards) in Somis, Calif.
San Diego State led after both the first and the second round, posting 593 for the 36 holes played. Host Pepperdine trails the Aztecs by 10 shots at 603, while Coastal and Louisville are tied for third at 607.
David Palm of San Diego State leads at one-under 143, four shots better than Edward McGlasson of Colorado and Josh Warthen of San Diego State. Junior All-American Dustin Johnson leads the Coastal contingent, currently tied for sixth at five-over 149. Sophomore Joachim Fourquet is next for CCU in a tie for 15th at 153, while teammate Moises Cobo is one shot behind Fourquest in a tie for 17th at 154.
The final round of the 54-hole tournament will be played on Tue., Oct. 4.
