CONWAY - Rising Coastal Carolina junior golfer Andrew Dorn has had an impressive summer and will close the season by playing in the 113th U.S. Amateur Championship August 12-18 in Brookline, Mass., at The Country Club.

Dorn, who has a 9 am tee time Monday, is one of 312 players that qualified to play at The Country Club, which is hosting its 15th USGA Championship and the U.S. Amateur for the sixth time. The event will feature two days of stroke play, playing both The Country Club and Charles River Country Club, with the top 64 advancing to match play at The Country Club.

Dorn qualified by shooting a 140 over two days at Cincinnati's Coldstream Country Club on July 29.

Earlier this summer, Dorn won the prestigious North & South Amateur at historic Pinehurst (N.C.) and later won the Ohio Amateur.
