CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina University men's golfers Drew Ernst and Tripp McAllister both finished in the top 10 of the 2009 SCGA Amateur, August 6-9. The 2009 SCGA Amateur Championship was conducted on the par 72 – 7,042 yard Tom Fazio designed South Course at Berkeley Hall Plantation in Bluffton, S.C.
Ernst tied for fifth with a 6-under 282 in the four-round event, shooting a pair of 3-under 69s in the final two rounds. McAllister shot a 3-under 285 to tie for 10th. His effort included three under-par rounds, with the best a 2-under 70 in the third round.
