SENECA, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina University men's golfer Drew Ernst is tied for second after thesecond round of the South Carolina Open. The three-day, 54-hole stroke play event is being played at Cross Creek Plantation in Seneca, S.C.

Ernst, playing in on his home course where his dad is the head pro, shot a 1-under 70 in the second round and is at 3-under 139 through 36 holes. He is tied with Steve Isley of Oak Island, N.C., and the duo sits five shots behind leader Billy Anderson of Wilmington, N.C., who shot a 6-under 65 in the second round and is at 8-under 134 overall. Coastal teammate Tripp McAllister shot a 76 in the second round to miss the cut by one shot with a 7-over 149.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Thursday, July 23, with Ernst going off No. 1tee at 8:40 a.m. with Anderson and Isley.
