CONWAY, S.C. -- Former Coastal Carolina University men's golfer Dustin Johnson posted his fourth top-20 finish of the year by tying for 19th at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, June 17-20.
Johnson shot a 65, second-best round in his pro career, in the final round to move up into the top 20 by finishing at 10-under 270 (69-66-70-65), also his lowest 72-hole total in his rookie season. In his final round, Johnson had seven birdies and just two bogeys en route to the 5-under 65. He earned $42,088.89 for his placing and now has made the cut in seven of his last eight tour stops. He now has $621,605 in earnings (109th on the money list) this season with two top-10 and four top-25 finishes.
Across the pond, former Chanticleer Tom Gillis tied for 58th at the 137th Open Championship at The Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England, shooting a four-round score of 18-over 298 (74-72-79-73).
