CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will start NCAA Southeast Regional play May 20-22 at the Capital City Club's Crabapple Course in Alpharetta, Ga. The Chanticleers, who are seeded 11th in the three-day regional, will tee off starting Thursday at 9:10 a.m., off the 10th tee with Georgia Southern and South Alabama.
The Chanticleers are playing in their seventh straight NCAA Regional after winning the Big South Conference Championships for the seventh straight year.
The Chants lineup consists of senior Dan Obremski, redshirt-sophomore Drew Ernst, senior Sam Lyons, sophomore Charlie Winegardner and freshman Sebastian Soderberg. Obremski finished third in the Big South's and was named to the League's All-Conference team.
Georgia Tech is the host the Regional, as the site will have 13 teams with the top seed Oklahoma State, the Big 12 champion this year.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 20-22. Thirteen teams and ten individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
