GREENSBORO, NC The Coastal Carolina mens golf squad sits in second place after 36 holes of the Forest Oaks Intercollegiate, Apr. 4. The tournament is being hosted by UNC Greensboro at the Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, NC
Louisville holds on to the lead after the first two rounds, firing a two-under 286 in the first round and settling for 584 after 36 holes, nine better than the Chanticleers at 593. VCU sits in third at 597, while host UNCG is fourth at 602.
Individually, Jens Fahrbring of VCU was in the lead at three-under 141, two shots better than Derek Fathauer of Louisville and Steven Sherck of Richmond. Coastals Zack Byrd was in fourth, posting an even-par 144 through 36 holes. Teammate Dustin Johnson was also in the top 10, sitting in a tie for eighth at four-over 148 after two rounds.
The final round will start Tue., Apr. 5 with tee times beginning at 9:26 a.m. for Coastal, going off the first tee with Louisville and VCU.
