Men's Golf Finishes 13th At United States Collegiate Championship

            ALPHARETTA, GA. -- Coastal Carolina's men's golf team had an up-and-down round and finished 13th at the United States Collegiate Championship, Mar. 26. The three-day, 54-hole tournamen is being played at The Golf Club of Georgia (Par 72 - 7,017 yards) in Alpharetta, Ga., Mar. 24-26. There were 14 teams in the field ranked in the top 50 in the nation, according to Golfstat, including eight in the top 10.             Coastal had a round with numerous highs and lows, with the team combining for 21 birdies, 26 bogeys and two double bogeys, but still posted its best 18-hole score of the tournament with a 6-over 294 to finish at 902. No. 5 Southern California won the tournament with a three-round total of 864 with No. 6 Oklahoma State three shots behind in second at 867. Top ranked Alabama rounded out the top three at 872.             CCU was led by freshman Tripp McAllister, had a 1-over 73 in the final round to finish at 4-over 220, good for a tie for 21st. Sophomore Dan Obremski was next at 228, tying for 48th. Oklahoma State's Trent Leon took home individual honors at 8-under 208, one shot ahead of teammate Rickie Fowler and Southern Cal's Jamie Lovemark at 209.             The Chanticleers are baxk on the course quickly, as they have added a dual match against No. 3 UCLA, Fri.
