Men's Golf's Obremski Named Big South Co-Golfer of the Week

Liberty freshman Max McKay (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Coastal Carolina's Dan Obremski (Irwin, Pa.) have been named the Choice Hotels Big South Co-Men's Golfers of the Week, while Coastal Carolina senior Aruka Felgueroso (Madrid, Spain) and Winthrop senior Rachel Smith (Mansfield, Texas) have been named the Choice Hotels Big South Co-Women's Golfer of the Week, it was announced today by the Conference office. The honors are for events played Feb. 28-March 17.

McKay posted two top six finishes in recent action. He finished fourth at the March 8-9 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate with an even-par 210 (71-65-74) to help Liberty finish fourth in the event. His 65 in the second round is tied for the lowest in the Big South this season. McKay then tied for sixth at the March 15-16 Rio Pinar Invitational with a 1-under 215 (72-71-72) - his fifth Top 10 finish of the season.

Obremski finished in the top three in two recent appearances. He tied for second at the Feb. 28-March 2 John Hayt Collegiate Invitational with an even-par 216 (75-67-74). His 5-under 67 in the second round was the lowest of the tournament. Obremski later tied for third at the March 14-15 General Hackler Championship with an even-par 216 (71-73-72), helping the Chanticleers to a runner-up team finish in the event.
