Men's Golf's Hooper Named Big South Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coastal Carolina freshman men’s golfer Cameron Hopper (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Chanticleer freshman women’s golfer Ann Maness (Galivants Ferry, S.C.) have been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, for events played March 9-15, it was announced today by the League office.   Hooper recorded his first collegiate top-10 finish with a seventh-place standing at the General Jim Hackler Invitational.  He shot a 1-over 217 for the 54-hole event, carding scores of 71-72-74 and finished just seven shots off the lead.  Hooper helped No. 28 Coastal to a runner-up finish, defeating three of the four teams in the field ranked ahead of them, all by at least 10 shots.
