Cobo Named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week

CONWAY, SC – Coastal Carolina University’s Moises Cobo (Seville, Spain/Pendleton School (FL)) has been named Big South Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, announced Mar. 10 by the league office. This marks the first time this season that a Chanticleer golfer has earned the weekly honor.

Cobo led CCU to the team title at the prestigious Seminole Intercollegiate, finishing second with a 54-hole total of 3-under 213, tying the 12th-best three-round finish in school history. Coastal Carolina defeated six teams ranked ahead of it in the Golfweek standings and defeated a field that featured 10 teams ranked in the top 75 in the nation.

The Chanticleers are back in action this weekend, hosting the General Jim Hackler Invitational Presented by Active Glass & Mirror at the TPC of Myrtle Beach. The tournament kicks off wtih 36 holes on Sun., Mar. 13, followed by 18 holes on Mon., Mar. 14.
